I spent years reaching for luxury creams from well-known brands — the kind that come in beautiful packaging and carry a serious price tag. Then I made this one for myself.
I'm a chemical engineer and a trained herbalist. So when I formulated this cream, I wasn't guessing — I was looking for a specific result. And I found it. Over time, I saw the difference in my own face: calmer, softer, more even. The kind of skin that makes you stop reaching for the concealer.
I live in Massachusetts, where winters are genuinely brutal. Dry air, cold wind, and heated indoor air are a recipe for irritated, tight, dull skin. This cream holds up. It keeps skin smooth and comfortable even through January — and it wears beautifully under makeup without pilling or shifting.

What This Cream Does
This is a silky, fast-absorbing face moisturizer made from organic plant oils, real botanical hydrosols, and herb-infused ingredients — no synthetic dyes, no synthetic fragrance.
It hydrates without heaviness, soothes without stinging, and leaves skin with a soft, natural glow. The gentle pinkish tone you see in the jar? That comes from the botanicals themselves. The scent is pure rose — the kind you catch walking past a blooming bush in summer, not a perfume counter.

The Ingredients — and Why They're Here
You deserve to know exactly what's going on your skin and why. Here's every key ingredient, explained honestly:
🌸 Rose Petal & Calendula Infusion (the base)
A concentrated herbal infusion forms the water phase of this cream — not plain water. Rose petals bring gentle astringent properties that help tone and refresh the skin. Calendula is a time-honored herb known for its ability to calm irritation and support the skin's natural barrier. Together, they address redness, dryness, and sensitivity without harsh actives.
🍇 Grapeseed Oil
One of the lightest carrier oils available — it absorbs quickly and never feels greasy. Rich in antioxidants including vitamin E and linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid that supports the skin's lipid barrier), grapeseed oil helps protect against environmental damage, soften the look of fine lines, and even out skin tone over time.
🌿 Jojoba Oil
Technically a liquid wax rather than an oil, jojoba closely mimics the skin's own sebum. This makes it exceptionally well-tolerated by nearly every skin type, including oily and acne-prone skin. It moisturizes, protects, and balances without clogging pores — and it won't go rancid, which means it supports the stability of the whole formula.
🥭 Mango Butter
Extracted from the seed of the mango fruit, mango butter is rich in oleic acid and stearic acid — fatty acids that deeply nourish and soften skin. It improves the look of texture and supports elasticity. Its gentle, velvety feel makes it ideal for sensitive skin, and it contributes to the cream's luxurious, non-greasy finish.
💧 Vitamin E (Tocopherol) & Vegetable Glycerin
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps protect skin lipids from oxidative damage — it's both a skin soother and a natural preservative booster. Glycerin is a humectant: it draws moisture from the air and holds it at the skin's surface. Together, these two ingredients help the cream deliver lasting hydration rather than a quick fix.
🌹 Rose Hydrosol & Rose Essential Oil
Rose hydrosol (also called rose water) is the aromatic water collected during steam distillation of rose petals. It carries the gentle, soothing properties of rose in a water-soluble form — mild enough for even reactive skin. The essential oil adds a small amount of true rose fragrance. There is no synthetic fragrance in this cream. What you smell is real.
On Preservatives — Transparency Matters
Any cream that contains water requires a preservative system to stay safe and stable. We use two, carefully chosen:
🌱 Sodium Phytate
A chelating agent derived from phytic acid, a naturally occurring compound found in plants and grains. It binds trace metals that can destabilize a formula or encourage microbial growth — making it a gentle but effective helper for preservation. It is ECOCERT and COSMOS certified, meaning it meets rigorous international standards for natural and organic cosmetics.
🧪 Optiphen Plus
A paraben-free preservative system made from phenoxyethanol and caprylyl glycol. Phenoxyethanol is widely used in natural cosmetics as a safer alternative to parabens — it prevents bacterial and fungal contamination in water-based products. Caprylyl glycol, derived from caprylic acid (a fatty acid found in coconut and palm kernel oil), enhances the system and adds a conditioning feel to the skin. No parabens. No formaldehyde releasers. No synthetic fragrances.
How to Use It
Apply a small amount to clean face, neck, and eye area. Use morning and evening — or whenever your skin needs it. A little goes a long way.
In winter, apply while skin is still slightly damp after cleansing to lock in extra moisture. For makeup wearers: let it absorb for one to two minutes before applying foundation. It creates a smooth, even base without interfering with coverage.
